DAVID WELTON, M.A.

David Welton is an experienced Business Leader. David has most recently led the Canadian operations of an international healthcare research organization. David has an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario and a B.A. in Philosophy from Concordia University.

David Laverty, Ph.D.

Dr. Laverty has a B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Toronto, with an M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario specializing in Logic and Analysis. He's been teaching Critical Thinking for over 15 years.  He currently teaches at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University.


 

 

ASSOCIATES

 

Catherine Hundleby, Ph.D.

Dr. Hundleby is a Researcher at the Centre for Research in Reasoning, Argumentation & Rhetoric, at the University of Windsor where she is also the Graduate Director, and Associate Professor in Philosophy, with a Cross-Appointment with the Women's Studies Program. She has a B.A. from the University of Toronto, M.A. from the University of Guelph, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. She specializes in feminist philosophy, epistemology and philosophy of science. Her latest work engages with informal logic and argumentation.


Greg Lavers, Ph.D.

Dr. Lavers is an Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, Concordia University where he teaches Critical Thinking, among other subjects.  He has a B.A. from Concordia University, with an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario, specializing in Logic and Analysis.

 

 

ADVISORS

 

Tim Kenyon, Ph.D.

Dr. Kenyon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy, University of Waterloo where he teaches courses in the Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language, Metaphysics, and Philosophical Logic, and Critical Thinking.  He has a B.A. from the University of British Columbia, M.A. from Carleton University and a Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario. Tim's excellent book on Critical Thinking, Clear Thinking in a Blurry World, was published in 2007 by Nelson.
 

Gerald Callaghan, Ph.D.

Dr. Callaghan has several years experience teaching Critical Thinking and is currently the Extended Learning Coordinator in the Department of Philosophy, Waterloo University.  He has a B.A. from Concordia University, with an M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Western Ontario.
